Your gift should be directed to the Riley Children’s Foundation with the designation to the “Kate Cares” program. The Riley Children’s Foundation is the philanthropic resource for Riley Hospital for Children. All gifts are tax deductible.

Our goal is to generate funds in the amount of $1.5 million in order to sustain the program and be fully funded in the future. Currently, the funds at Riley Children’s Foundation in the name of the Kate Carmichael Stillbirth Program are enough to get the program up and running so that it can help as many families as possible as soon as possible.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
Make a gift by mail or online:
You may make a gift using a check, money order, or credit card. “Kate Cares” may be noted on your check/money order or in the “additional comments” box on the website link.

Give a gift through marketable stocks or securities:
Giving marketable stocks may allow you to make a substantial gift and offer a charitable deduction. You may want to consult your tax or financial advisor.

Designate a gift in your will:
Designating the Riley Children’s Foundation in your will with the gift designated to the “Kate Cares” program allows you to retain the use of your assets during your lifetime and still make a significant gift. It is recommended that you consult your attorney or estate planner for proper planning.

Provide baby blankets and outfits for families who have experienced a loss:
Kate Cares welcomes donations of blankets and outfits (smaller sizes such as preemie outfits work the best, however 0-3 month sizes work well also), booties, hats, etc. for babies. Oftentimes families are not prepared for the loss of their babies and it happens suddenly and without warning. Many find themselves at the hospital without any blankets, clothes, hats, booties that their babies deserve and which are treasured by the families or used for a future funeral/burial service. Please send them to Kate Cares at the following address and we will be certain they will be disbursed to various participating hospitals and used for a baby whose family will treasure them. You may include a card with your name or in memory of anyone you wish and we will be sure to include it with any items you send.

Memorialize a loved one:
If you would like to make a donation in memory of a loved one, we will happily include their name, date of birth and any additional comments you would like to include in a special section on our website entitled KATE'S GARDEN OF CARING. When making a donation, please include the information in the "comments" section on the donation page of our website or include a special note when mailing a check and it will be posted on our website as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance for your support of Kate Cares and please remember that the legacy of your loved one will continue through Kate Cares.
